The MiG-28 was the East's response to the U.S Navy's Tomcat, produced as a cheaper alternative against the West's more expensive Air Superiority Fighters. Via a civilian contractor, the Navy has learned that the Mig-28, due to problems with its inverted flight tanks, lacks the ability to do a negative G push-over. This problem was proved false by two future TOPGUN students, who during a flight over the Indian Ocean encountered a Mig-28B and reportedly "flew inverted" over it, before it peeled away in a negative G push-over. These claims are still to be proven today, however, the RIO onboard the Tomcat reportedly took photos of their encounter, photos of which have not resurfaced since the event occured in 1986. The Mig-28's service history is unknown, however, due to its similarities to Western designs such as the F-5 and T-38, it is assumed that it is still in use as an Aggressor aircraft and Trainer to this day.

This infamous 'Hollywood Aggressor' features a sturdy black colour scheme and 2 large stickers representing the tail insignias seen in the 1986 classic this kit is based on. Retractable landing gear and gear doors alongside an opening cockpit allow you to display this model in various stages of operation, such as in the middle of a dogfight or starting up on the tarmac. Printed details such as afterburners, instrument panels and gun ports make this kit both simple to build and simple to display, especially alongside a certain hollywood 'rival' aircraft. Although lacking a Minifigure, the iconic enemy pilot's helmet is included to dress up an existing figure to let them enter the danger zone.
